hehehe…blaming the flea problem on the cats next door is so….cartoonish :)

Fleas multiply at INCREDIBLE speeds. You should get with a good pest control company to come out and treat your yard.

Or go to Home Depot and get some yard/flea killer type stuff.

plant marigolds. the smell repels them. also add 1/2 clove fresh minced garlic to dogs meal.

Honestly I think you made a good point, it is impossible to control fleas unless you take care of the outside sources as well! Especially if you live in an area that is prone to large flea populations! Besides, Frontline doesn’t repel fleas but I think K9 Advantix does.
Try Diatomacious Earth (sp???), it’s the empty exoskeletons of a certain insect that has microscopic “razors” that penetrate the exoskeleton of fleas therefore killing the flea. It’s powdery and can be spread through out the yard and rain doesn’t weaken it like chemical sprays. Good luck!

Keep your yard cut short…it helps decrease bugs in general. Also try andvantix instead, it is supposed to repel fleas, while frontline only kills them.

You might try some 7 Dust for the yard, and Frontline or advantix for your pet and if necessary, bomb your house. Do it all at the same time to be sure you got all bases covered! Good luck, and hurry! Flea season is upon us!
